that�s right but that is IMHO no disadvantage.

That isn�t right - I have it my self running on SMP.
But I must admit that I�m using SuSE instead of RedHat but since the kernel
is always the same it should be possible zto have it running on RedHat.

I agree with you that Checkpoint is treating this LINUX issue to low. I just
suspect that this is because that on LINUX FW-1 is faster than on Solaris
and their main customers are the ones who use Solaris (with expensive boxes
:-). So this must be a political strategy :-)

I would - in competition with Windows.
If you can afford SUN hardware - OK.
