A brief question:

I have a question concern placement of a VPN server and Firewall-1.
Currently, all pptp traffic comes through our firewall, is directed to the
VPN server, and is then passed through the firewall again before it enters
our LAN. We are seeing lousy performance measurements (approximately 5
minutes to run application via VPN compared to 1 minute via direct dial-up).
I'm leaning towards a problem if not in my security rulebase, then in the
physical arrangement of firewall and VPN on my network. Anyone have any
ideas how I can either arrange these systems or improve VPN performance?

TIA
