Just in case you want to use this info.
I upgraded one of my firewalls to v4.1 from v4.0. If I performed a FWSTOP
and FWSTART, the machine would install the policy from the management
station. However, when I tried to push a policy from the management station,
I would receive an error which said "Failure to install policy on firewall:
Broken pipe error".
The cause is that you must be sure that after upgrading a firewall, you must
modify the firewall properties to reflect that is has 4.1 installed instead
4.0. After making this change, everything worked fine.
Another issue. When upgraing the management station, some inconsistencies
occured. 1) Some characters are reserved in 4.1 that were not in 4.0. (i.e.
"&") 2) My anti spoofing definitions were corrupted. Had to re-dpecify
networks.
