I am using Checkpoint FW-1 4.0 SP1 running on Solaris 2.6 for my management
console. I was working on a rulebase yesterday using the NT GUI when my
network connection was cut and my session to the firewall was disconnected.
When I logged in again to the firewall GUI, my objects are available, but
the rulebase is empty. In the conf directory, I see all of the *.W files,
which are my saved and current rulebases.

I have tried running an fwm -g to regenerate the rulebases, and I still
cannot get to them in the policy editor. My latest rulebase *.W file is
also now empty after the server disconnection.

Does anyone know if there is a backup of the last rulebase that I was
working on, and how I can get to access my firewall policies again?

Thanks.
