Colin,
You can use the 'fw confmerge' command to merge your old objects.C file with
the new one. You can also copy your old rule base file and in order to use
it you need to recreate rulebases.fws with the command 'fw fwm -g
rulebase.W'. If you encounter problems with installing a permanent license
it usually works if you enter it from the command line with the '-o' switch,
that is 'fw putlic -o ip.address.b.c string features etc'.

Emne: [FW1] Network Objects and licensing
Good day all...
I currently have FW-1 (v3.0b) and I was wondering if there was a way
to export the network objects so that I can import them into CP2000.
Also I am using a demo license to setup my CP2000 box while I am
waiting for my official license to arrive. Has anyone run into any problems
with licensing when moving from a demo license to a real license? The demo
liscense has all the fucntionality while the real license has only has
Firewall-1 (Enterprise Edition).
Thanks.
Colin
