Like you, I have also had a hellish time finding a decent FW-1 vendor...
I've been involved with Check Point for only a little over a year, and I'm
already on my third vendor!
I won't mention the names, but I would stay away from a vendor/outsourcer
headquartered in New York with offices in MD and MA, and I would also stay
away from a vendor/outsourcer that is buying up smaller companies
predominately on the East coast... I have had no luck with either of them.
One company I have had MUCH better luck with is Evident Solutions out of
Phoenix, Az. If you are worried about someone local for onsite support,
this may be an issue. Our IT department is pretty self-sufficient, so we
have been fine seeking vendors outside of our territory.
I should point out that I have no professional association with this
company, I just know what a pain in the ass it is to find a decent vendor
that will take my money. Shouldn't be this difficult, should it?

Any help would be appreciated.
I tried to find a vendor to renew our Firewall-1/VPN-1
"Software Support subscription" (SS-VIG-25-3DES)
and "Gold Support sunscription"(GS-VIG-25-3DES) with CheckPoint.
I called CheckPoint but was told that I have to do the renew via a
vendor.
I visited the Checkpoint web page and found several (six or seven)
vendors listed
in North Carolina RDU area. I picked the numbers that sounds familar to
me from
the web page placed several calls.
The first one was disconnected (Secure Enterprise). The second one
was moved to another location (AlphaNumeric) and no one was there.
The third one was already bought by others. I was very frustrated by
that.
Is there any one who knows a good vendor for these subscription/renew
products? Is there a channel to make the handelling of these
subscriptions
easier like MSDN?
