The file will log error messages from fwd process. You can use "more" or
"cat" or any editer to view it -- plane text.
If it grows too larg, remove it and bounce the firewall. There will be a new
fwd.log.

Subject: [FW1] log file

Hey folks,

I have a file called fwd.log in my $FWDIR/log directory. Unfortunately
doing a fw logswitch doesn't rename it and the file keeps growing. When I
try to open this file using the FW-1 logviewer, nothing shows up... Does
anyone know the importance of this file. Can I delete it?

thanks
baskar
