All,

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but I have a Solaris 2.6 FW running
CP 4.0 SP6, which is connected to several networks. One of these
networks will be replacing all of their routers this weekend, and as
such, MAC addresses for those devices will change. With this in mind, I
need to know what the default ARP cache timeout is for a Solaris 2.6
box. Issuing the following command:

"ndd -get /dev/arp arp_cleanup_interval" yields "300000". Anyone know
if 1) that was the right ndd variable to poll and/or 2) What units the
300000 is in? If it's milliseconds, then the timeout would be 5
minutes. Does that sound right????

Thanks very much for any insight.

Jason
