I have just finished migrating my management workstation from 3.0b to 4.1
SP1. Rather than upgrading Solaris on my individual firewalls (6 of them)
from 2.5.1 to 2.7, I'm thinking of using this opportunity to simply replace
the existing hardware and OS with new machines. These new machines would
have 4.1 SP1 installed on them, and I would then "push" my existing
security policies down to them from the 4.1 SP1 management workstation.
Has anyone ever tried this? Does anyone foresee any potential problems
with this approach?
TIA,
Randall
