There is an environment variable called LD_LIBRARY_PATH that contains the
path to the libraries you need when you run things. Make sure the path to
these libraries is included in that variable and you should be all set.

I had the same problem some time ago. I had to copy
many of the libraries to /usr/lib/
I stopped getting the lib errors, but got other
errors.
Unfortunately, I've been to busy to go back and fix
since my Win95 GUI is okay <knock on wood>.
