Found my last email:
Here is an 8-step process to an updated FireWall:
* Suck the service pack binary down to a local FTP server... preferably a
password protected one!
* HTTP to Voyager, back up your current config, and disable FW-1 running on
startup
* Telnet to the FW and run a NEWPKG command.
* It will get the service pack from your FTP server, stop the firewall
services, update the software, and tell you the system must be restarted.
* Reboot the FW via voyager
* Telnet to the FW and do a FWSTART.
* Reapply your rulebase
* Don't forget to turn on the run FW-1 at startup!
Total time to upgrade was about 10 minutes, and about 7 of the 10 were an
outage. This was my first service pack procedure for a Nokia platform... All
in all, I was very impressed.
Good luck!

Subject: [FW1] FW1 4.1 SP1 to FW1 4.1 SP2 on Nokia IPSO Caveats
Hi all,
I am sorry to ask this question again, as it was previously answered. I
cannot find the message which had those steps for this upgrade, if anyone
has it can you please forward it along. (From about 2-3 weeks ago I think.)
Also, if anyone has any additional input that would be much appreciated.
The question essentially was:
I am upgrading from FW1 4.1 SP1 to FW1 4.1 SP2 tonight on (3) IPSO based
platforms and (1) NT based Enterprise Management Console.
Besides following CheckPoint's and Nokia's installation release notes, are
there any other issues, potential problems, etc. I should be aware of?
Yes, I will have my license keys on hand, will backup the Nokia's configs
through Voyager, backup the CONF and other dirs on the enterprise console,
will do the management console first, will upgrade the mgt console GUIs, be
ready to redo the putkeys if need be....... Anything else that I might not
be thinking of or know about?
Thanks all.
Jarrett
