Hi all;
Been having a bit o' stick recently
with certain pages (www.google.com is a good
example, as is, say, a link like http://www.perl.com/CPAN-local/authors/id/PMQS/Filter-1.19.tar.gz).
An error comes back from our Squid cache
(included below) indicating that the URL could not be retrieved due to a zero
sized reply. This could have something to do with recent discussions on
Content Encoding types (indeed, the message in the log indicates that this is
the case).
I'm guessing that something here is not quite right. Adding ":http_disable_content_enc (true)" to the props section of objects.C fixes some problems of this nature, but not these ones.
Interestingly, turning off ActiveX and Java
inspection seems to enable this, but AFAICT neither of these sites use either -
indeed, the perl.com is merely trying to download a gzip'd file.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers
Richard
