Sounds like the actual migration didn't go very well.
You'll need to either run fw confmerg again on the
original files or edit manually to fix the error.
As for the third party software, the FW1_ela program
is being started(attempting to) and can be found
in /etc/rc3.d (Solaris) and configuration is in
/etc/fw/conf/fwopsec.conf. If your not using any
third party software(e.g. RealSecure) then you can
remove or comment out the reference in rc3.d.
If you are using any third party software, then you
most likely need to re/install it on the new system.
Now as you know, Solaris 2.8 is not a supported
product - yet. Others have it working fine, so they
may pipe up with some assistance.
