I just moved my firewall to a new box. I am currently running 3.0b on an NT
4.0 server. We will be upgrading in a few months but had to do this
because of moving from one building to another. Here's my problem.
Everything appears to work great except that the proxy isn't working. When
a user tries to go to the web it comes up with the authorization box
but won't accept the password. After three tries I get the error: Last
attempt failed because: Firewall-1 password not supported.
Everything on this box appears to be identical to the old one. I imported
the user database and they are all there. I even tried deleting a user and
recreating them to use authentication and it still doesn't work. I can get
to the Internet fine from the firewall. From the knowledge base it said to
make
sure there was no default gateway for the internal nic. I did this and
still no go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, traffic from
outside seems to
be fine.
