You have a license for the manager itself. The license is for a Firewall
Module only. The option for the GUI is motif. On a Solaris machine you
have to order a motif license, not sure the cost. BUT, you must have the
manager first of all. Normally the package should be either a VIG or
something else that I cannot remember right now.

Subject: [FW1] FW-1 4.1 new install on Solaris - "No license for User
Interface"

I've just installed 4.1 on a Solaris box, fully patched.

I am, however, unable to properly start a policy editor (either on the
firewall itself or a GUI). The error which is returned is "No license for
User Interface" and then "Cannot connect to server!"

A printlic gives the features as:

cpfw-fm-u-v41 CK-93BC112DB6FF

Did I end up with the wrong license type or is there something glaringly
obvious to which I am blind?

Many thanks in advance.

EWS
