Emanuel,
On the GUI, verify that either the policy properties
have 'Accept Firewall-1 Control Connections' or you
have a specific rule(s) allowing the GUI and the fw
manager to connect to the fw module(s). Of course,
you'll need to define all of the systems involved as
objects in then GUI under manage->network objects.
For the above, I suggested to allow the GUI station to
connect to the fw modules. This is not needed(unless it's
the fw mgr also), but I like the ability to connect directly
to the box. It will depend on your network design(where
systems are in located in conjunction with each other)
and your security policy.
Note: For the following, you should disconnect from
your ISP.
On the fw module(s), run 'fw unload localhost' and then
apply the rulesbase. Test, test, test.
Note: If successful and you took advice from above,
reconnect to ISP.
