Yeah, you want them.  Memory tells me they're for resync'ing the arrays or
something like that... meaning they're not used often, but they're
important.  I personally ditched Sun's portmapper and replaced it with
Wietse's portmapper for security.  Been that way for well over a year with
no problems on Solaris 2.6.
