Hi,

I have a checkpoint firewall running on a solaris 2.6 machine. I have a web
server running in the internal network (private IP address). I did NAT
(172.16.0.14 translated to 202.0.106.132) to the private IP address. Everything
is working fine. People on the internet also can access the website without any
problems.

But I am having one problem. I have a split DNS in our network (One for internal
network and 1 for external network). The
web server (172.16.0.14-->202.0.106.132) cannot resolve any hostname. If the
default DNS server is set to the external DNS it works fine. If I set it to the
internal one it doesn't work. Any idea why this is happening. I opened all
services from and to this machine to test it. Still it doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rajesh.
