Try http://www.phoneboy.com/fw1/ - search for "FTP", and read article 9: FireWall-1 FAQ: High Port TCP Services and FTP
Hau.

Subject: [FW1] PASV FTP problems
Hello all,
I have a problem with a Nokia IP 440 running IPSO 3.2.1 and CheckPoint V4.1
SP2 (just upgraded to SP2). In fact the reason why this box was upgraded to
SP2 was in an attempt to resolve the PASV FTP problems...but it didn't.
Everything else is working but this.I have verified that PASV FTP is checked off in the security policy
properties..under the services tab and the security policy was re-installed
just to make sure. This is an urgent matter as the user base is really starting to complain.
Has anyone had this problem before?
TIA,
Marco Greene

Title: RE: [FW1] PASV FTP problems
But
that solves the problem of FTP sessions hanging. I already know about this
one. FTP in normal mode works just fine. It is just PASV FTP that
doesn't work. Furthermore there are no log entries that indicate the
problem and I am currently logging everything that is dropped by the
firewall.
Any
more thoughts?
