If the telnet is dropped, and not rejected, then how would the initiator
"see the rejection?"

My firewall fw-1 4.0 on ip440 has a rule that drops telnet attempts to the
firewalls themselves.
The problem is that the telnetter would see the rejection on their client as
well as the platform
and the firewall application.
How can I fix this?
