Hi,
the explanation at //www.phoneboy.com/fw1/faq/0296.html gives the overview. What I'm
looking for is a *detailed* explanation.
To come back to my original post, I see in the Inspct: line following numbers:
6730440 packets,
-1148566671 operations,
201018269 lookups,
7580722 record,
1949126407 extract
What I'm concerned about is the obvious misrelation between the number of packets and
the
number of operations.
I'm not quite sure if this really indicates a problem or the counter has rolled over
and
over again what would make this statistic absolutely useless.
The background of my question is that our firewall is running too slow (at least for
our
expectations) and we can't find a resource bottelneck.
