Looks like you are a newbie. Welcome aboard!
Your firewall should get your MX host from DNS. If you
don't have that available, then you're setup is
different than mine.
You don't need to use sendmail, just an emailing
agent. UNIX boxes usually have "mail" and/or "mailx"
available. I use mailx.
Here's what I have:
/bin/mailx -s 'FireWall-1 Alert' [EMAIL PROTECTED]
This uses "mailx" on my Solaris box.
The "-s" means that "Firewall-1 Alert" is the subject.
Then my email address.
Verify that you have mail or mailx. Check the path to
the program is correct, and follow my sample.
Should be all you need!
