It is definitely not a good idea to use the Firewall as an NTP server!!!
You should use another machine behind the Firewall and then use it to sync
all other machines. If this is a Solaris machine the Firewall is running on
you should use the 'rdate' command to sync the Firewall.

Hi,
I need to configure Firewall-1 as a time server. Is it a security threat to
open
ports 123 and 37 to allow my firewall to synchronize with an external time
server.
Is it a good idea to use Firewall-1 as a time server
Thanks
Rales
