Are you trying to run your heartbeat over the serial (tty) ports on a UNIX
box?
This is the only time I have seen this. You have to make sure you are not
running anything over these lines, check your OS.

You don't give us many informations on your setup..
Are you trying to build an HA configuration,  or did it use to work,
and now it doesn't anymore?

One thing I noticed in your logs is the line 'slept ... secs, wakeup
code'
I think this kind of message is generated by the stonebeat daemon when
it detects it has been sleeping for too long. For instance, you have
this message when you press stop-A then go on a solaris box.
Maybe your box hasn't enough CPU power for all the traffic it handles,
and does not schedule user processes fast enough?
