What other options out there has been tested OK?
What is the HA function when looking at the FW-1 licencing mean then?

If your going install on totally new boxes, then load Fullcluster first get
them loadbalancing NT as a router (if your using NT) then install the FW
inspect engine. If your worried about down time. Install one, leave it
offline, plug it into your network then when you unplug your original
firewall, put SB online. Install SBFC on the second box and leave it
offline. make your policy changes to push rules to Cluster object instead of
FW object, then push policy, bring it online and your set to go.
If your using CVP, make sure you have unique IP address and a common virtual
on the appropriate interfaces. Good Luck
