When my firewall starts, I receive the following errors:
1) VPN1 Accelerator card not available
2) Cannot run polsrvd - Authentication services unavailable (and then another message
stating it will retry later)
3) no license for routers
My firewall is a 4.1, SP2 on NT 4.0, SP6. I have no routers defined in my rulebase.
The firewall is acting as my router to the internet. I have an encryption domain
defined, but nothing (as far as I know) regarding an accelerator card.
I also receive Dr. Watson's periodically on the server - I believe it has something to
do with my VPN setup. I've applied all of the "solutions" - increasing kernel memory,
changing the SP2 .dll file with the orig. .dll file, etc. to no avail.
I've finally come up with a script that restarts the firewall when it detects a Dr.
Watson - cheesy, but works until I can figure out what is causing this. I had the
exact same issues whenever I tried to upgrade my old firewall (4.0) to any service
pack or new version.
Any help is appreciated.
