Anyone seen this
Running nt4 sp6
CP 2000
Using NAT static for a object we can smtp ftp etc but cannot ping correctly
The translation looks ok but on a ping the source address from the natted
server
becomes the translated ip not the internal ip eg
USING SMTP ETC (logs)
source destination service xtrans
203.*.*.* 203.*.*.* smtp 10.1.*.*
203.*.*.* 203.*.*.* smtp 10.1.*.*
using ping (logs)
source destination service xtrans
203.*.*.* 203.*.*.* icmp 10.1.*.*
10.1.*.* 203.*.*.* icmp
Any ideas anyone.
We have some routes defined in the nt route table as well as the proxy arp
file
