That same thing happened to me on one of the early SecuRemote betas, but all seems fine in the release...

Installed the released W2K Securemote drivers on W2K Server SP1. As soon
as I did this and rebooted the Synaptics Touchpad drivers started using
nr-100% cpu and Securemote wouldn't respond. I killed the syntpneh.exe
task and Securemote then worked ok.
Any ideas why?
