If I understand correctly, you had perhaps a 4.0 version, upgraded to 4.1 and now
want to back down to 4.0?
If such is the case, then the uninstall process will not place the old fw.sys back
into the registry. The save configuration for backout refers to preserving old *.W,
*.fws, objects.C, fwauth.NDB, etc.
You, as you have discovered, must reinstall the previous version and restore config.
