Good news! You are not a flippig idiot! I guess that you are running Solaris
X86 because of the mention of a Compaq box.. Unfortunately, there is no
MOTIF for X86, youll have to use the windows GUI. Just a secondary heads up
- I typically do not recommend using X86, because of performance and
stability issues, and CheckPoint continues to threaten to stop supporting
X86. Just my 2 cents!

ok, i must be a flippin idiot, i can't seem to find the X/Motif GUI to
run. i've got a new compaq rackmount box, solaris7, and installed from
cdrom CP2000. accordinfg to the docs, it should install the FW and the
GUI .... how do i get the GUI to run ?
