Hi there,
I've noticed there's rather a lot of messages being generated in
/etc/fw/log/asmtpd.log
on our firewall. The message says
resolver_gethostbyaddr() failed.: Bad file number
In the rulebase I have an SMTP resource set up to check the recipient of all
incoming mail to our mail server against a group of allowed recipients that
we accept mail for eg. *@company1.com
I looked up the problem on the Checkpoint site and could only find something
that related to low disk space or DNS problems. Our mail server is
specified by IP address and not by DNS name.
We're running FW-1 v4.0 SP5 on Solaris 2.6.
Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.
