FireWall-1 has its own state synchronization feature, used to ensure
transparent failover (it maintains sessions during failover).  If you're
trying to avoid using any 3rd-party tools, Check Point has an HA module
(sold separately), but it won't do load balancing.  For HA+LB, you need
a 3rd-party HA/LB product like Rainfinity RainWall, which works with
FW-1 state sync, or a set of hardware-based traffic managers (e.g.,
pairs of Alteon switches on each subnet).
