Dave,

It depends on how long the customer stays
authenticated to the fw.  Once the customer has
initiated one session to you, you may initiate many
sessions to them and they will be encrypted.  

Also, if they are behind a firewall you traffic to
them will be hidden.  Basically the customer's PC will
be vulnerable to unlogged attacks from you. You might
want to discuss this with your customer ahead of time.
