What type of license do you have on that firewall? I am guessing the FW
thinks it is over the limit on its license and it is reporting the IP's that
it thinks is should protect.

Subject: [FW1] FW1 Errors in NT System Log
I inherited a FW1 box when I took over this network, and last night the box
decided to take a nose dive and I had to reinstall both the OS (NT4.0 SP6)
and the FW1 (4.1 SP3) software. It seems to be working fine except that I am
getting hundreds of entries into the NT System log a minute that state the
following
Date: 2/1/01 Event ID: 1
Time: 1:51:12PM Source: FW1
User: N/A Type: Error
Computer: TULSABRICK Category: None
Description:
FW1: , 204.198.135.37
There are literally hundreds of these each with a different IP address. Does
anyone have any idea what this message is? I couldn't find anything relevant
on either Checkpoints site or the phoneboy FAQ. Any help is greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Adam Blomfield
