Had a discussion with a developer. He architected a network with 2 Notes
Pass Through Server behind a router and in front of a firewall.
He argued that the Lotus Notes Pass Through Server is for data replication
to other sites. The data are "streaming" through. There is no security
risk. In addition, the router in front of them protects them already.
My point is router, even though it has "access control", but its main
function is routing traffic, one cannot rely it to protect servers.
Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Ivan
