Well, you _certainly_ want to test this, but...
`touch /etc/notrouter` will stop the routed daemon from starting up. So a
reboot would be neccessary for it to take effect. You should be able to
kill the routed process, but I don't have a sun in front of me to test
that.
BUT make sure that your firewall isn't getting its default gateway from
RIP.
