Funny you should ask this. I had to provide Client Access through the
firewall last night. Thought I would pass along some of the information I
discovered.
My pain is your gain.
Ports required to support AS Server services
23 - telnet
449 - as-svrmap
8470 - as-cent
8471 - as-data
8472 - as-dtaq
8473 - as-file
8474 - as-netprt
8475 - as-rmtcmd
8476 - as-signon
8477 - as-netd
8478 - as-tran
8479 - as-vrtp
These were the ports the service was listening on and an attempted client
connection confirmed several of them. I created a group with all of the
defined ports and it worked like a champ.

Subject: [FW1] AS/400 Connectivity to the Internet
I am trying to connect my AS/400 to the Internet. I have defined a rule to
allow traffic to the AS/400 and given it a NATed address. Unfortunately, I
still can not connect to it via the Internet. Does anyone know if there is
anything special I need to do on the AS/400 to allow the connections? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
John
