[FW1] fw stop/start the only way to rotate logfiles

Hi,

(running Firewall-1 4.1 on a Sun Netra T1, 256MB, solaris 7)

Besides starting the logviewer and clicking the right buttons, is fw
stop/start the only way to rotate the logfiles ?

With about 100 firewall rules loaded at this moment, how long does it
take to fw stop/start ?
