Anyone aware of a DNS/BIND exploit wherein the contents of the DNS servers
cache can be altered. We had a situation where our DNS server cache had a
bogus name server being listed for the .com domain, effectively redirecting
any queries to .com websites to another website. Was easy to fix by
restarting DNS but was wondering how it happened and how to prevent it.
