Carmen,
I've got exactly the same problem and the same messages, the swap space seems to
lessen from day to day. In may case, the problem is related to cpmad: when I kill the
cpmad process and start it again, the swap space gets recovered.
For the moment I'm running a weekly script in the crontab in order to kill the cpmad
process and then start it again, and it works fine for me.
