Here is the
situation.
Checkpoint Firewall 4 sp3. CVP server (Norton Anti-virus for firewalls).
The scan server
works fine for Http, and Ftp tranfers in and out of the
network.
However whenever I
use the scan server for SMTP traffic, it is being dropped.
In the log viewer it
will first have a rejected communication for SMTP under Rule 0, with no
source address
then right after
that log entry will be another that says SMTP dropped under the rule that scans
SMTP traffic.
If I simply allow
SMTP without the resource to scan it, it works fine, only after modifying the
rule to scan the SMTP traffic is when it fails.
Any ideas
?
