In the DMZ. The whole idea behind a DMZ is that you have a network that
connects to either side only under controlled conditions. If you place the
proxy in your internal network, there is a risk that some server your proxy
queries might be configured to compromise the proxy (which might be
possible), and then you have a compromised machine in your internal
network.
