Greetings Group!
I have a FW-1 running on Solaris 7 on a Sparc machine. What I need to
accomplish is to have the firewall respond on one interface as two distinct
IP's, since I have two subnets running on the same physical network. e.g:
qfe0 10.0.0.1
hme0 172.16.1.1
hme0:1 192.168.1.1
I have the interface configured, and it replies as normal until I load
policy on the firewall. I have tried adding hme0:1 as an interface in the
FW object's properties, and I get a message saying there is no such
interface when I try to compile and install policy. With or without the
hme0:1 entry in the interfaces tab, as soon as I start up the firewall, I
lose all connectivity to the 192.168 network. I even tried adding a static
route and a public arp for this...no dice.
for the record, the qfe0 is the external i/f, and any connections to the
subnet on hme0 work just fine.
Any ideas?
