I've even performed the logswitch command and performed a logexport
with the the created file as the input file.
Same result??Regards

I found that on our NT management station, if you did not rotate the log
(logswitch), the export process would usually (90% of the time) lock up. I
have a couple of associates who confirm that exporting an active log can be
really "flakey" on NT, but that the export works just fine on a live log in
solaris or on linux.Thanks,

L & G,
When I perform a export of the log-file, it's taking quite a long time
before it finishes.
I'm using the line below.C:\WINNT\FW1\4.1\bin>fw logexport -f -n -o c:\temp\firewall_log_25-07-2001
-r 1024
Starting pass 2 of the log file.
100.00% of log file processed. Is it better to do a logswitch and then use the created file as the input
file?Regards
Darrel Louis
