Please help
Configuration: Windows NT 4 (SP6a)/FW1-4.1 (SP4) on Proliant 1850
I am at the end of my tether trying to get FW-1 and ISS RS6.0 to talk, I
have various documents and have had good advice all of which is getting me
nowhere.
Today I discovered that my opsec server is failing to start, my fwopsec.conf
file is standard, I only discovered the problem in my Firewall NT
Application Event Log...three interesting entries appear everytime I bounce
the firewall:
1. unable to bind to port 18183 ip 255.255.255.255 (using netstat I cant
see this port listening on the fw)
2. listen failed!
3. fw_init_sam_server failed to start opsec server.
I feel that if I can get my opsec server to start (without a reinstall of
fw1) then I would be well on the way to getting RS to talk to FW1.
Any ideas you lovely people?
