I am in need of some assistance. I am currently using a WatchGuard Firebox
as our firewall and do not like the authentication piece. I also would like
to limit HTTP downloads from my clients which the WatchGuard doesn't handle
all that great as well.
I am looking for a solution that can Track/Log/Report on all users internet
usage. Meta IP in conjunction with Firewall-1? I would like to stick with
an appliance as well. Is Nokia the only Firewall-1 appliance firewall? Are
they the best.
I am also looking at some type of content filter that will work in
conjunction with the firewall. I have heard of web sense, is this the
recommended solution.
Finally I am looking for a solution to limit my users HTTP downloads. I
would like to be able to say from this web site you are allowed to download
these types of files. Is there anything out there that would work here?
Does CheckPoint inherently have the ability to perform this action.
Remember this is HTTP download not FTP. On the WatchGuard we can manage
this by creating multiple Proxied-HTTP rules and allowing only certain
content types through on each rule. I know that Firewall-1 is a state based
firewall so maybe I can't filter it out by mime type.
