[FW1] Why is log viewer so lame ?!

Hi

It is not often I feel the need but....

/begin rant/

Every bleedin' day I get more and more frustrated about:-
1. SLOW log viewer (yes - the DNS resolve is unchecked)
2. Selection doesn't work half the time - select items I KNOW are there but doesn't bring them up - have to search by other methods eventually
3. Locks up completely occassionally - have to just close window

/end rant/

Setup:-

Fw = FW-1 4.0 SP4 on NT4.0 SP4 on PIII 500 with 512Mb RAM and plenty of RAID disk

Does it get any better in CP 2000 or NG ?
