Yes, the problem was just due to Aggressive mode selection. When I de-selected "Supports Aggressive mode" in both Router and FW objects, everythg. worked fine. (both encr. & decr. on both sides...) Thanx to you Alan, and all the others who contributed...

Note that Cisco doesn't support Aggressive mode (I think
the Checkpoint doc is wrong).
I'll be stting this up myself in a week or two so please
be sure to post or email what you learn. I'm busy struggling
getting a Nokia Cryptocluster talking to Checkpoint and having
a helluva time myself ;)
