Andi,
I fully agree with you that it would be a good idea to setup these
mailing lists.
I do have one more suggestions though. There are already a lot of "app
related" questions comming in. Maybe it would also be a good idea to
setup a mailing list for that purpose? fw-help or something? You might
argue that it's *too early* for this, but I would say if you look at the
amount of downloads, there's no need to say more.

Hi all,
In line with the roadmap email, I'd like to form 8 new mailing lists which
will make it easier for people to discuss/participate in subject areas which
are of interest to them (actually 7 new ones as docs already exists).
fw-webservices@
fw-mvc@
fw-auth@
fw-i18n@
fw-db@
fw-core@ (I thnk that's better than infra)
fw-formats@ (can't think of a better name)
I did think of calling the lists fwdev-* to note them as dev lists but I
think it makes more sense to keep them open to the users. I find it very
valuable to get users asking questions and commeting on functionality on the
dev lists as that's valuable input from the users.
In order not to overcomplicate things, pending a technology evaluation, I'd
also suggest having something like fw-devall which will automatically
subscribe people to all these lists. The reply-to: would take responses to
the right list.
Any thoughts? (Let's not discuss the forum issue again :) We want to stick
to mailing lists :) )
