That said, as Simon indicated, I'm currently working on wrapping up a branch of Zend_Acl for the 0.6.0 release. Part of this includes adapting the above documentation for the new version in the branch: http://framework.zend.com/svn/framework/branch/Zend_Acl/ So while you can get away with using the current incubator version, this one will be deprecated very soon, and I would recommend trying out the new version in the branch.
